Name the outcome
“Summarize this” is a starting point. “Summarize the risks in this document for a project review, with source references” gives the task a direction.
Define the boundaries
Include the time period, group, metric or document set. Explain anything that should be excluded. Do not assume the model knows your internal definitions.
Ask for assumptions

Use follow-ups
Ask one focused question at a time. If a result is surprising, request the supporting evidence or a different comparison.
Save what works
